50 metres from the sea

Step out of the door and you're at the sea in no time. The Heldenplein and the nearby park are close by, ideal for a short walk or a break in the green.

Beach and sea

Knokke-Heist has a long coastline with a wide sandy beach. You can swim, walk or simply sit in the breeze with a book. For somewhere quieter, head towards the dunes and the Zwin.

The Zwin

The Zwin is a protected nature reserve on the border with the Netherlands, known for its mudflats, salt marshes and migratory birds. An hour's walk there is easily done, with a picnic in your backpack.

Knokke and Het Zoute

In Knokke you'll find shops, galleries, terraces and restaurants. Het Zoute is right next door and is known for its villas, quiet streets and the lovely walk along the sea.

Zeebrugge, Damme and Bruges

From Knokke-Heist you're quickly in Zeebrugge, with its harbour and beach. Charming Damme and historic Bruges are a short drive away and ideal for a day out. The coastal tram runs along the entire coast, from Knokke to De Panne.

Cycling and walking

The region is flat and green, perfect for a bike ride through the polders or along the promenade. Two bikes are included in the rent, so you can set off straight away.

Parking

The apartment has no private parking. You park on the street nearby: the area around the apartment is an orange zone, and a green zone, where parking is cheaper, is very close by. You can pay at the parking meter or by text message or app. Always check the signs on site for the exact hours and rates. Once your car is parked, you'll hardly need it: the sea is around the corner and the bikes are ready to go.
